Description

This statement jug is a traditional design, shaped in the style of a koi fish with a mouth-shaped pourer that makes a 'glug glug' sound when liquid is poured out, giving the jug its name. In sage green engraved with scale, fin and face details, this piece has a handle formed from its curved tail, and a base for it to stand on. Use this decorative jug as a vase or utensil pot, or let it be the talk of the table as part of your entertaining tableware.

Hand wash with a mild detergent to preserve the intricate details and keep it looking its best.

I came across the ceramic gluggle jugs in a trendy restaurant in Horsham, Surrey (UK) and instantly loved them. They are perfect to have on your dining table or garden table when entertaining. The "glug" sound it makes when water is poured from it is quite a talking point with guests, we had a good laugh each time a glass of water was poured. They come in such beautiful colours too. Gluggle Jug FAQs

Gluggle jugs are named after the 'gluggle' sound that they make when poured. The original fish-shaped vase was made in Staffordshire over a hundred years ago, and now comes in plenty of colours and sizes. Use as a jug, vase, decanter or utensil holder.

Gluggle jugs make a distinctive 'glug glug' noise when pouring. This happens when the jug is filled up and air gets trapped in the fish's tail. When it escapes, the jug 'glugs' repeatedly.
