Description

  • In an extra large size, this statement jug is a traditional design, shaped in the style of a koi fish with a mouth-shaped pourer that makes a 'glug glug' sound when liquid is poured out, giving the jug its name. In a luscious deep blue, engraved with scale, fin and face details, this piece has a handle formed from its curved tail, and is made with a base that it stands on. Use this decorative jug as a vase or utensil pot, or let it be the talk of the table as part of your entertaining tableware.

    Hand wash with a mild detergent to preserve the intricate details and keep it looking its best.

The gluggle jug is a wonderful fun and affordable present for daily use and doesn't get old. A classic with range of colours to chose from - I would recommend it highly. The XL size it the perfect size so you don't have to keep refilling at lunch parties.

Original Wade ceramics& made in England. And most importantly, it gluggles :) it is a normal size jug, not too big at all. Although they call it extra large, I think it is the best size! Good price compared to other places and it is the real thing.

Gluggle Jug FAQs

Gluggle jugs are named after the 'gluggle' sound that they make when poured. The original fish-shaped vase was made in Staffordshire over a hundred years ago, and now comes in plenty of colours and sizes. Use as a jug, vase, decanter or utensil holder.

Gluggle jugs make a distinctive 'glug glug' noise when pouring. This happens when the jug is filled up and air gets trapped in the fish's tail. When it escapes, the jug 'glugs' repeatedly.
