Beautiful lamp shade. However, it shouldn't be called a lamp shade as it cannot attach to a lamp. It only hangs from the ceiling so is at best a ceiling light shade.

Only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because the packaging it comes in really smells horrid (seriously, it’s like dog poo or something!). So I had to air the shade and the room it was used in. The smell does go eventually but it’s not pleased when it arrives

Lovely lampshade, not right for my room so returned. It is as others have said, let down slightly by that bright white interior which makes it look cheap. So four stars for the shade, however the packaging was dreadful - smelly old boxes, with holes in, minimal tape and hardly any protection inside. It’s a miracle (and a credit to the courier) that they got here in one piece (ordered two). Oh and one was completely the wrong colour, obviously returned and put back in the wrong box. Not what I expect from a premium brand.

Love this lampshade. The colour is gorgeous and was exactly what I was looking for. The only thing that would make it better is if the inside was lined or coloured to blend in with the rest of the shade rather than being a stark white.

Love this, looks beautiful in my dining room, it's just white inside, however I suspect that's to keep the light bright as the velvet means that not much light escapes from the side, but it certainly doesn't make the room dark.

Its a nice ceiling shade, however I must say that the inside of the shade could use being lined with something as the white plastic inside leaves the shade looking far cheaper than the price tag. I will likely do this myself, to get the luxury feel I hoped for.

Lamp Shade FAQs

All of our lampshades come with conversion rings so they can fit B22 and E27 bulbs.

1. Measure the lamp - If you have a circular base then measure straight across. If you have a square base then measure diagonally. Multiple this number by two for the right shade width.

2. Measure the length - Your shade should be around a third of the total height of the lamp. This way it covers the bulb and the harp without looking disproportionate to the base.

There are also some safety precautions to take into account when choosing the size of your shade, so make sure you always read any safety labels or leaflets included with your lamp shade.

1. Turn the light switch off and allow your bulb to cool.

2. Assess how your shade is attached to the lamp.

3. If your shade is connected by the light bulb, unscrew the bulb, remove the lamp shade, replace with your new lamp shade and re-screw the bulb back into place.

4. If your shade is connected by a tip or finial screwed on top, unscrew the tip, lift the shade off to remove it, replace with your new shade, and re-screw the tip.

5. Turn the light switch on to see how it looks.
